Child caught with an Airsoft BB gun on school bus in San Clemente

A child was caught with a realistic Airsoft BB gun on a school bus in San Clemente, California, aiming it at another student.

From the article:
Deputies were called to a bus stop at Max Berg Plaza Park at the corner of El Prado and El Portal at 8:17 a.m. after a parent reported seeing a boy on the bus point a gun at a student outside the bus.

Evidently, authorities said, a student took an AirSoft gun – a replica pistol that shoots plastic BBs – aboard the bus and gave it to another student who, in turn, pointed it at another student.
Sheriff's Lt. Paul D'Auria, chief of police services in San Clemente, said the bus was kept at the scene while a team investigated the incident. He said it was not gang-related.
"It was more horseplay than anything else," D'Auria said late Thursday afternoon after reviewing the circumstances. "Most likely it will be dealt with administratively with the school rather than criminally. We did take a report. I would say charges are unlikely."

Every gun in the hands of a child must first pass through the hands of an adult.
