16-year old boy shoots 12-year old girl in Florida

A group of kids got into an argument on a school bus, in Riviera Beach, Florida.  After getting off the bus, the argument continued as they went down the street, and got out of control.  A brother of one of the boys who was fighting, age 16, pulled out a handgun and started firing.  A 12-year old girl was struck in the abdomen.

The girl is now in serious but stable condition.  The boy has been arrested.

Brown said the shots came from a group of teens who were fighting nearby.
"When the fight started to escalate, shots were fired. Some of the young people started to run. That young lady ran into the parking lot of this church," she said.
Rev. Griffin Davis said his son helped the girl.
"He said she didn't know she was shot, and he found out she was shot. The blood coming out.
He put a rag over her chest to keep the blood from coming out," Davis said.
Every gun in the hands of a child must first pass through the hands of an adult.
